Maule Valley – also known as Carmenere valley – it is the most austral viticultural area from the Central Valley which has the greatest extension on vineyards in the whole nation: 30.000 cultivated hectares and has the longest viticultural tradition that began during Spanish colonization.
Maule Valley’s typical party is Carmenere Night which is done annually during January.

The tours which are offered at Maule Valley are the following:
Wine in half a day, 4 hours tour that can be done in the morning or in the afternoon. It includes guided visits to 2 vineyards, with wine tasting in each of them. Lunch and transportation are optional.
Wine in one day is a 7 hours tour. It includes guided visits to 3 vineyards with wine tasting and lunch at a local restaurant and a visit to Huilquilemu museum, declared national monument. Optional: There is transportation inside Maule Valley.
This two previously mentioned tours can be combined with some other activities, for example:
Colonial Villages, a tour that takes the whole weekend: The first day: Wine in one day tour. Second day: Visit to the historical village of Yerbas Buenas and its museum, Quinamávida and Panimávida hotsprings and Rari’s handcraft; Typical food at the restaurant Casino del Huaso (at Yerbas Buenas). It includes transportation during both days and accommodation.
Wine and Nature Is a tour that takes the whole weekend. First Day: “Wine in one day” tour. Second day: guided trekking at Vilches Native Forest Reserve. You rest and have an outdoor lunch. Transportation is included during 2 days and accommodation.
Wine and Typical Talca is a tour that last one whole day. During the afternoon there is a lunch at a local restaurant; visit to Taba (museum, monuments and a visit to the city) transportation is included inside Maule Valley.
Wine and Maule Coast is perfect for a weekend tour. First day: “Wine in one day” tour. Second day: at 7:30 you take the train to Constitución. Is a trip for visiting its rock formations and a visit to Maguillines handcraft port. Lunch in a farm house. You can also make horseback riding in Putu’s dunes, inside the forests or making a nice trip in a fishing boat by Maule River with the chance of watching waterfalls, cliffs and wild life. It includes transportation for both days spent at the valley.
Wine at the three Maule sub valleys. Is a technological tour by Maule Valley Wine Route. It begins at 9:30 with a visit to Pencahue Valley where Botalcura vineyard is located. At 11:45 you visit San Clemente Valley, where Calina, Casa Donoso and Casanova vineyards are located. At 14:00 there is lunch at a restaurant from the zone. At 16:30 you visit Loncomilla Valley visiting Tabontinaja and J Bouchon vineyards to finish the tour at 18:00.
