Between the activities and events that are made in the Cerro Castillo locality, we emphasized: in January and February the mark of the bovine cattle, during the third weekend of January is made the Celebration to the Chilean, where colts and young bulls are tamed, races of resistance, sharpening, training of ewes dogs, among other activities, in February the Chilean Rodeo is celebrate, in November indicated of ovine and December the task of cowbell, where they are sheared daily near 1,500 of ewes.

From Cerro Castillo it is possible to arrive at different interesting points to visit, for example:

Lakes of the Toro and Porteño, the place, of pretty places, count with a camping. Following Towers of the Paine, in km 71 is the Mascaras Bridge on the river the Chinas. Soon is the mountain range la Ballena, of medium height.

The Hostelry Viewpoint of Paine, is located next to the lake Lazo of the National Park Towers of the Paine, is a support point to make excursions within the area.

In km 91 it will find a crossing, from which a panoramic Vista is obtained of the Baguales mountain range and the complex group of lakes that drain in the Ultima Esperanza Bay. In the mountain range next to the Banguales River its tops can be observed, which pointed black rock ends contrast with the plain that ascends until its feet. In the helmet of cattle ranch is the Cumbres inn.
