The Big North is called for an area located between Arica from the North until Copiapo from the South. One of the most important places in this area is the Atacama Desert, San Pedro de Atacama and the Atacama Salt Pan. Also from the North you can find some important places located in the Chilean Plateau such as Putre, and the Lauca National Park, with the Chungará Lake included.
