El Tabo

El Tabo, with a population of 3,823, is located about 1.2 miles to the south of Isla Negra and lies over a smooth plain that goes down towards the ocean. The coastal route crosses through the inner areas of this resort as an ample avenue, where the social and commercial activity is concentrated and where we find tennis courts and skating rinks, seafood sales, soda kiosks and a lot of vehicle traffic, especially during the summer. El Tabo counts with two beaches: Caleuche, to the North, with pools and rocky places, and Chépica, the most visited, very ample, with many waves and slightly deep. Parking fee at the beaches is between $1,200 and $1,500 per day.

The must do activities in El Tabo are, during the morning, jogging and, in the afternoon, watch the sunset as you walk along the Larga beach towards the South.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to stay for a day in this quaint little town by one of my colleagues. If you have the company of your liking just as I had, I can bet you would have a quality time out here. Local knowledge is an asset and I was really amazed at how much this little place had t offer. Some good seafood with the fuzzy drinks from side stalls and walks through the moody markets;I had a ball. believe me, a great place to start a new relationship. The walks along the beach side gave wings to the words that were buried inside the depths of my heart. I guess the fact that I started a relationship makes this town that extra special to me.
