Panguipulli is located at 71.4 miles from Valdivia towards the Andes mountain range and 508 miles from Santiago,Chile, has a population of 8,326 inhabitants. The city of Panguipulli stands out as an important tourist center which still keeps the charming port atmosphere.
Its thousand rose bushes planted in the 80´s are worth seeing during the summer when they are in full bloom. Panguipulli counts with a promenade that passes by the dock, with a boat launching point and a municipal seaside resort, in a pleasant beach by the Panguipulli lake.
On the promenade is the monument to the Pioneers and Founders of Panguipulli (Forjadores y Fundadores de Panguipulli) by the sculptor Osvaldo Peña. An important attraction is the Parochial Church (Iglesia Parroquial), built in 1947 by the Capuchin Father Bernabé de Lucerna, inspired by Swiss models.
Panguipulli administers the other towns around Panguipulli Lake; therefore it has acquired a vital importance as a commercial hub.
The majority if the activities are held during January and February, including rural fairs, shows, The Photographic Tour of the Seven Lakes (Raid Fotográfico de Los Siete Lagos) and the Rose Week (Semana de las Rosas).

During your visit you will be able to visit the promenade around the Panquipulli Lake, the Parochial Church built in 1947 and the Hospital, administered by nuns of the Santa Cruz Congregation.
