This trip will take you from the charming city of Arica to the little town of Iquique, with guests traveling though park and valleys, passing by beautiful lakes and small communities along the way. This is a journey for travelers who enjoy a more rustic setting, as the hotel accommodations in Colchane and Putre are quite simple.

Day 1        Arica

As soon as you arrive at the airport in Arica, you will be greeted with a warm welcoming reception. Then, you will be transported to your choice of hotels, where you can check in and drop off your belongings before you are picked up and taken on a guided tour of the city of Arica.  During the excursion you will visit the main areas of Arica City, as the ex custom house designed by Gustave Eiffel, the Cathedral of San Marcos, Morro de Arica among others.  Then the excursion will continue to the Valley of Azapa to visit the Museum of San Miguel de Azapa where you will have the chance of admiring pre inca mummies from 10,000 years ago.  After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel for the evening.

Day 2        Socoroma, Chungará Lake, Putre

Breakfast in the Hotel. On the way to the city of Putre, we will travel through the picturesque Lluta Valley, visiting the Pukara of Copaquilla, the hamlet of  Zapahuira and Socoroma town.  The, before arriving at Lauca National Park, we will have a short stop at Putre View Point. Then visit majestic Lago Chungará, or Chungará Lake, with the Payachatas volcanoes. Later, continue to Catacotani Lagoons and the town of Parinacota.  After our tour through the park, we will arrive in Putre, at the Q’Antati Hotel. Here you can check in, then have the evening free to explore Putre, or relax in your room.

Day 3        Guallatiri, Surire Salt Flat, Colchane

After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel in Putre, we will travel through the Las Vicunas National Reserve, taking in the beautiful scenery on our way to the Surire Sal Flats. We will also travel through the local Aymará villages of Guallatiri, Ancuta, and some others,  before reaching Surire. Once we arrive at the salt flats, free time to enjoy the landscape and also if you want, to swimm at the Polloquere Hot Springs.  Later, continue to Colchane.  Arrive in Colchane and dinner in the hostal selected.  We will check in to our accommodations and enjoy a delicious dinner featuring the local cuisine. *** Accommodation might be in Colchane or Cariquima ***

Day 4        Colchane – Humberstone – Iquique

This day we’ll leave the charming little village of Colchane and depart to Iquique. On the way sits Cerro Unita and the geoglyphs of the Giant of Atacama, an enormous, anthropomorphic geoglyph located in the Atacama Desert. Following our excursion into the desert, we will venture to Humberstone, the Ex Nitrate Company. Later, continue to Iquique.  Arrive in Iquique and transfer to selected Hotel.  Accommodations.

Day 5        Iquique

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, you will be transported to the airport in Iquique where you can catch your next flight.

Cancellation Pollicies

Once the reservation has been confirmed by Letsgochile.com, the following are the charges applied for cancellations made by passenger, according the starting date of services.  All cancellations must be sent via email:
