Andes Lake Crossing

Andes Lake crossing is an exceptional adventure that began in the year 1910, when Roberto Roth a visionary manager of the tourism, decided to begin to cross European tourists from Chile toward Argentina through beautiful places in the Chilean and Argentina Northen Patagonia.  Also this new adventure meant to unite both countries (Chile and Argentina) through an exciting ecological route.

Today, you can carry out this program from Puerto Montt to Bariloche or vice versa, from Bariloche toward Puerto Varas.  The program can be carried out during the whole year, and it lasts 2 days in winter time and also in summer time.  In summer time you can also take this program in a full day.

If you decide to take the Andes Lake crossing program of 2 days, you stay in Peulla, a town known as Ecological Village.  Peulla is located in Vicente Perez Rosales National Park (in Chile). and from Peulla, you can choose several outdoor excursions as Canopy, horse ridding, and hiking.  All excursions can be made in a full day or half day and consider different levels of difficulty.

Program

Puerto Pañuelo in Argentina

Day 1  Puerto Varas – Peulla

Departure at 08:30 from Puerto Varas.  Then continue, bordering Llanquihue Lake until arriving Petrohue.  In the route, you will visit Vicente Perez Rosales National Park and the famous Petrohue Falls, with esmerald colour waters.  The trip continues until arriving Petrohue, where you will begin a navigation through Todos los Santos Lakes.  Arrive in Peulla Village. Accommodation and dinner in a selected hotel.

Day 2  Peulla – Bariloche

In the morning, transfer from Peulla to Puerto Frías.  After customs procedures the bus will cross the Andes Mountains.  Navigation in Puerto Frias Lake.  Arrive in Puerto Alegre to continue to Puerto Blest.  Time for lunch (NOT included).

After lunch, navigation through Nahuel Huapi Lake until Puerto Pañuelos.  Arrive in Puerto Pañuelos and transfer to Bariloche.  Arrive in Bariloche at 17:30 appx.
